Stories in Transit
The 20th edition of IFF celebrates cinema as a space of freedom, where words, bodies, and stories find expression. The films and side events in the programme explore how the right to mobility and to speak intertwine with privilege, barriers, and racial discrimination. They place origins, mother tongues, and family and cultural traditions at the centre—as spaces to be protected, but also as fragile territories, often threatened by assimilation or the loss of memory. They portray identities that are never fixed, but constantly reshaped through encounters with others, crossing both visible and invisible boundaries. IFF is a festival that defends rights and dignity, inviting us to reconsider who we are through the gaze of others.
Events, Conversations, Walks
The festival doesn’t end when the lights come back on.
It carries on through guided conversations, intercultural walks across the city, and in the spaces where people gather to listen and share.
That’s where real encounters happen and where cinema becomes community.
